Despite our challenging climate, Dutch viticulture has evolved into a promising sector with unique grape varieties adapted to local conditions. In the relatively cool and moist weather conditions of the Netherlands, especially hybrid grape varieties that are resistant to fungal diseases flourish. Typical examples, which we also have planted, are the white Solaris and the blue Cabernet Cortis.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n\n

Vineyards<\/h2>\n

Dutch summers provide enough sunlight for our vines for slow, gradual ripening, while the cold winters help to harden the plants. However, it is always exciting each year to see what nature has in store for us. But through hard work with enough love and dedication, we always manage to harvest healthy grapes.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n

Wine cellar<\/h2>\n

\n

Our vineyards cannot do without a winery (or ‘wine cellar’). A winery is the heart of the wine process, where the transformation of grapes into wine takes place. It is here that the terroir \u2013 the unique combination of soil, climate, and landscape \u2013 merges with the skills of the winemaker.<\/p>\n

The careful management of de-stemming, grape selection, crushing and\/or pressing, fermentation using the right yeast strains, the aging process in tanks and barrels, filtering, and the final blending and bottling are essential to turn our healthy grapes into characterful wines.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n

By working with different grape varieties, we can also make the most diverse wines. From sparkling white as a festive aperitif to full red during a fine dinner. Authentic wines with the BGA (Protected Geographical Indication) label. This means that at least 85% of our grapes must come from Gelderland, and the production of the wine must also take place within the provincial borders. Tasting<\/h2>\n

Wine tasting is one of the most enjoyable things to do and also very educational. Look, swirl, smell, taste. There is so much to discover with this versatile natural product. Small tastings with select groups, but also larger tastings are possible at our wine farm. Together with our sommelier, we organize a fantastic interactive afternoon or evening for you and your companions, possibly supplemented with delicious snacks or a complete culinary experience.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n
